louise, our French holiday home
A word from the Management...
Many thanks for perusing our cottage in Brittany. This page includes details of how to contact us, should you be interested in booking a holiday at our home in France.
If you decide you would like to spend a week or more at ‘Elouise’, just give us a ring and we will pencil in the dates on our calendar. We will then hold the booking for up to three working days, pending receipt of the deposit. As there are lots of ports and ferry companies to choose from, whatever part of the country you live in, you should have no problem arranging the sea crossing, but we do advise that you book this immediately. We, personally, use Brittany Ferries and cross from Plymouth to Roscoff because it’s the most convenient port for us, both here and in France.
Please call Mrs. Maureen Bignell, on +44 (01460) 220505 to make a provisional booking. We will send you a brochure and booking form which should be returned with your deposit (see tariff). A confirmation of booking will then be sent directly to you, showing when the final payment is due. Upon receipt of final payment, directions as to how to find the property, and any other information required will be sent to you.
It may be possible to get cheaper cottages in France than ours, but the standard and comfort will probably be much lower. Ours is very comfortable indeed, extremely well equipped and very good value for money. A very real home from home!
We hope to hear from you again.
With regards, Maureen Bignell

word from Elliott...
I've just bought another gîte in Brittany with my parents, which we are currently renovating. It will eventually comprise a two-bedroom cottage with a conservatory and extensive garden, plus a substantial barn. The land occupies about four-and-a-half acres, including a large lake and some woodland. Obviously, no-one on a normal income could afford to aspire to such a home in England, but the property prices in France are a different matter altogether. We bought the place through Vivre en France, the Brittany agents for whom are friends of ours, Colin and Jenny Traite. If you're interested in seeing the proerties they have available, hit the link!

The weekly rental prices include electricity, hot water and cooking gas. Central heating is inclusive in the mornings and evenings during Low and Mid seasons only.
The balance monies (plus the security deposit) are due 8 weeks prior to departure, when location details will be sent to you. They will also check the cottage between guests to see that it has been left clean and tidy. However, guests are expected to leave the cottage clean and tidy.

The cottage is extremely well equipped with everything you should need to enable you to have a very comfortable holiday. Well-behaved children are very welcome but, as ‘Elouise’ is our French home, we do expect them to treat the cottage with respect.
